The Assumption Senior Girls School is located just off the Long Mile Road, Dublin 12. The original school was built in 1958 by the Sisters of Charity.  Recently renovations and upgrades have been made to improve and enhance the facilities of our school.

Computer Room

We have a well equipped and up to date computer room. This room is used to source information on the internet for projects, complete word documents for class, and create powerpoint presentations for a variety of topics. We have just updated our computer room with 10 new Dell pc's. There are a total of 20 pc's in the room.

School Garden

Our school garden is an important feature of our school. It enables the teachers and children to go for school walks, nature trails, plant flowers, and food. There are many bird feeders in the garden so bird watching is a favourite pastime for some of the children. The garden is used more in Spring and Summer, for reading, observing and exploring. It is also a relaxing area for picnics in the sunshine!

School Library

Our school library is a most valuable asset. We are very proud of it, as it is well stocked and beautifully decorated. While they read the children have the option of sitting at a table, or on a comfortable beanbag/doughnut. The children have access to a huge variety of books . The children each have their own pin numbers, which when scanned, allows them to borrow books. The library is a time used to enable the child to read for pleasure in a quiet and comfortable environment.

​Interactive White Boards

Each classroom and resource room is fitted with a Flat Panel or an interactive whiteboard which facilitates both the teaching and the learning of our children. These whiteboards are fantastic tools and are used by both children and teachers.

Concert / P.E Hall

The large hall is a fantastic facility to have in our school.  The school community uses it for P.E. lessons, school assemblies, art exhibitions, school concerts, displays of various types, coffee mornings and other such fund-raisers.  It is an invaluable resource in the day-to-day running of the school.
