Our Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Programme

While we strive to make all of our indoor classrooms places of joy as much as learning we recognise that sometimes there is no greater learning space than the great outdoors! We really emphasize the emotional and physical wellbeing of all of our students at Assumption Senior G.N.S. and our Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Programme is crucial to this. We have our courtyard garden which we use for a variety of activities. From doing weather based science experiments to planting flowers, we get great use out of our garden, and the kids love it! It may only be second to our library when it comes to their favourite places in the school.

Green Schools

Assumption Senior G.N.S is committed to making sure that our students grow up understanding the importance of ecology, the climate, and biodiversity as well as the role they can play in shaping Ireland's green future. We have worked hard with the girls to achieve this goal, which the girls have really gotten behind and helped drive. We are proud to be one of Ireland's Green Schools and have no less than 6 Green Schools Flags. We believe that a healthy environment makes a great learning environment and we work to ensure that our students have both!
