Our Library 

​We have an excellent school library which is fully stocked with a wide selection of books in many genres to suit all our readers. Classes are timetabled to visit the library with teachers every week. Our library opens at 9am every morning to facilitate our eager readers before class starts.
 
Each month a number of 5th & 6th class students present book reviews and recommendations
orally in-class to their peers.

Renaissance Accelerated Reader

​Accelerated Reader is a PC based programme that helps teachers manage and monitor children’s independent reading practice. Your child picks a book at her level and reads it daily at her own pace. When the book is read your child will do a short quiz to examine their comprehension. Each child has their own password  to access their word count. In the senior classes the children are rewarded with a certificate by their teacher when they reach their reading target. The ultimate target is to become a Word Millionaire. It is good practice for your child to read at home for at least 20 minutes every day.
