Active Week 2020
Dear parents/guardians, 
Thank you for all the work you have put in to make learning from home such an overall success.
Unfortunately, one of the key events of the school calendar Sports Day  will not be taking place this year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
However, we are having an active week from Monday June 15th - Friday 19th. Each class will receive an activities menu and we would encourage you to motivate the girls to get involved in daily activities and record their learning on Seesaw.
This week is a great opportunity for the girls to try different activities that support their health and well-being and to develop habits that will hopefully last over time. We have included a broad range of activities to appeal to different learning styles. Stay safe and healthy!

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I hope you and your family are keeping well!

Please find below an outline of the plan for the collection of the pupil’s property from the school and the return of their school books (including library books).

• When will it take place?

The collection/return will take place in the school playground between 10am and 1pm on the following days:

• 6th Class: Tuesday, June 16th  (10am – 12pm)
• 5th Class: Wednesday, June 17th (10am – 12pm)
• 4th Class: Thursday, June 18th (10am – 12pm)
• 3rd Class: Friday, June 19th (10am – 12pm)

 

• Who is asked to come?

• In order to protect the health of everyone involved we are asking that only one parent (no children) come on to the school grounds.

 

• What is available for collection?

• The teachers have put all the children’s’ books/art work etc. together and bagged so they can be collected efficiently.

 

• What are pupils asked to return?

• Any books from the book rental scheme and library books.

 

• School uniforms

• Our Parents Voluntary Group have come-up with the fantastic idea of accepting donations of any unused uniforms on the day!

 

• Covid-19 precautionary steps being taken

• Gloves and sanitiser will be used by those taking in the books.
• The books will then be put into storage for more than 72 hours prior to being sorted.
• Everyone present is asked to adhere to the general guidelines outlined by the HSE regarding social distancing (2m).
• Parents are asked to move through the yard as quickly as possible and avoid social gatherings inside the school grounds.

• Please park outside the school grounds.

I hope that everyone understands why the above guidelines have been put in place to facilitate this process. As a school community, we are very hopeful that all of our pupils will be returning to us for the next school year as healthy and happy as possible. Therefore, it is our responsibility to put these guidelines in place to ensure that we do our part to prevent any potential spread of covid-19 within our school community.

Our annual Christmas Coffee Morning was a great success again this year! Our brilliant Parents' Committee decorated the hall and had everything in place for all of the visitors.
